LIVEWINDOWS EXPERIENCES

EXPERIENCE DESIGN        INTERACTION DESIGN        PROJECT MANAGEMENT
In a second phase the LIVEWINDOWS moved from small-scale interactive content, to large-scale street-based experiences. The idea was to communicate the brand’s values by creating positive experiences for passers-by. The types of activities had to be simple and direct, as the user is in transit with little time. Therefore, we invested time and research in order to understand the languages of interaction for the context so that a small action by the user would give clear and immediate feedback. For the interactive display set-up, the touch radar produced by LANG AG allowed us to transform a glass surface into an interactive support.
Below are 2 experience design projects for LIVEWINDOWS: PAO and PAINT

PAO
the polar bear

THE PROJECT

PAO was a collaboration between the creative director of the LIVEWINDOWS project Alfio Pozzoni and the CAU university of Seoul involving the Korean animator Wooksang Chang. It is an interactive story of a polar bear that is lost in the city; the user must help him find his way back to the North Pole. The application has an educational aspect in that during the animated narration, the user is asked questions, and can learn from the answers.

MY ROLE

This was a team project involving 10 people The story and collaboration with CAU university were conceived by the Creative Director My role was to co-produce the project with him. PROJECT MANAGEMENT I worked with the Wooksang Chang team giving them feedback through revisions and updates on the content and technical aspects to be produced for the application including dimensions, renderings, colors and durations.
USER EXPERIENCE AND INTERACTION My specific role was to define interactivity with the touch radar hardware and to perform tests in order to determine a stable platform and guidelines.
USER INTERFACE | VISUAL DESIGN After defining the necessary elements for interactivity with a prototype, and having studied the users, I designed the selection interface. I directed the production of the different windows and integrated the 3D production, designing the communication of the application.
The preparation of the project required many structural analyzes as well as a conceptual understanding of the relationship between interactivity, users and multiple spaces

PAINT

THE PROJECT

PAINT was a collaboration between the creative director of LIVEWINDOWS Alfio Pozzoni and the CAU University of Seoul involving the Future Media Art Lab Professor, Jin Wan Park, and his team. The aim of this collaboration was to develop an interactive project on the LIVEWINDOWS showcases and a downloadable application that allows people on the street to draw and paint on the LIVEWINDOWS showcases.

MY ROLE

As for PAO, the concept and the application with CAU were designed by the creative director I came onto the project at the production phase.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT I gave feedback to the FMA team through revisions and updates on the technical, interaction and stylistic aspects.
USER EXPERIENCE AND INTERACTION I tested applications sent remotely by the FMA team on the LIVEWINDOWS showcases and give feedback on aspects to be implemented on the application in the specific window environment
USER INTERFACE | VISUAL DESIGN I shared the stylistic lines of the visual style of the application.
All work was developed remotely with continuous sharing of documents and information until the finalization of the applicationAll work was developed remotely with continuous sharing of documents and information until the finalization of the application
